Totvs wants to expand operations in banks and oil companies

With half of the Brazilian software market and support to management in the hands, Totvs is not satisfied and designs to expand its operations in sectors of the Brazilian economy with strong growth potential.  "Our portfolio of clients is mainly composed by medium and small companies, with stronger participation in the retail and manufacturing. But we want to gain space in the financial and oil and gás sectors", says Vice President of Market Strategy of the company, Rodrigo Caserta. He says that currently, the service sector has increased its demand for technology solutions. "We have a strong demand from companies in the health and education sectors. The economic growth leads to a growth of these companies as well", he says.

The clients list released by Totvs actually shows a strong participation of companies in these sectors in the company's business. The Heart Hospital (Hospital do Coração), the SP Vaccine Distributor (SP Distribuidora de Vacinas), the schools Magnum and Visconde de Porto Seguro are some of the companies assisted by Totvs. "In fact, these larger companies are a kind of reference that attests our quality. Our major focus is on small to medium size companies", says Caserta.

In the financial sector, Caserta says that the performance of Totvs is still limited. "We are already inside the country's major banks, but only with some specific solutions, we are not major service providers for them yet. But we are studying a way to expand this activity in the coming years." The oil and gas sector is also a target of Totvs in medium and long term. "Of course we want to take advantage of this moment of discovery of the pre-salt to have a stronger role in this sector too.    Our studies for the development of new solutions do not stop, and we know that we are able to compete with large multinationals such as SAP and Oracle, we now have strong participation among large enterprises", he says.
