The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Group and Investe São Paulo join efforts to attract investments from Japanese companies
Institutions entered into a memorandum of cooperation to stimulate investment attraction; last Thursday, October 11, the first action was held during an event in the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil
Aiming to stimulate the attraction of investments from Japanese companies to the state of São Paulo and also help Brazilian entrepreneurs who wish to invest in Japan, the Japanese financial institution - The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ - and its bank in Brazil have entered into with Investe São Paulo a memorandum of cooperation in the beginning of October.
“We will significantly contribute to attract Japanese companies to the state of São Paulo. The situation of the domestic market in Japan has led companies to seek options abroad, especially in Brazil,” said the CEO of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Brazil, Toshifumi Murata.
“It will be our first partnership with a bank and we are arranging the performance of workshops for entrepreneurs in major Japanese cities in the beginning of the next year,” said the president of Investe São Paulo, Luciano Almeida. “We will have a representative of Investe São Paulo at Jetro, the Japanese foreign trade agency, available to the Bank as from the second half of this month to meet entrepreneurs who want to better understand the business environment of the State of São Paulo,” said Almeida.
“We will promote the business to generate jobs, income and technological innovation so that, together with Investe São Paulo, we can build a legacy,” concludes Murata.
