Tecnisa has record sales

Yesterday land developer Tecnisa announced its sales record in the history of the company: nearly R$ 501.7 million (US$ 313.6 million), achieved in the first half of the year, being R$ 330.7 million (US$ 206.7 million) related only to the sales registered in the second quarter. The result, which is still preliminary, represents an increase of 321.9% compared to last year's same period and already exceeds the total sold in 2007 by more than R$ 29 million (US$ 18.13 million). The launchings of the first half year achieved a GSV (General Sales Value) of R$ 537.1 million (US$ 335.7 million), an increase of 364.6%, compared to last year's same period, taking into account only Tecnisa's share. Including its undertaking as partner of other land developers or builders, the GSV of the period amounts to R$ 643.6 million (US$ 402.3 million). Nine launchings were presented in the period, two of which outside the state of São Paulo: one in Goiânia (GO) and another one in Manaus (AM). This year's second quarter the launchings reached a GSV of R$ 309.9 million (US$ 193.7 million) - only in Tecnisa's share - or 215.9% above the total launched in the second quarter of 2007. The sales result of the second quarter was 353% superior to the result from last year's same period. Tecnisa operates in the market of residential property as a whole, working the development, construction, and sales.
