SPTec is high point in meeting with Peruvians

Representatives of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University of the city of Huacho showed enthusiasm with São Paulo System of Technological Parks

The Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology received this Monday, May 30, a delegation of the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University of the city of Huacho. In the occasion, the technicians of the Secretariat and the São Paulo Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Competitiveness - Investe São Paulo presented the actions of the Secretariat in the area of Science and Technology and the public policies aimed at the attraction of new national and international investments to the State.

During the meeting, the delegation was quite thrilled with the São Paulo Network of Technology-Based Incubators, the State Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (Funcet) and the São Paulo System of Technological Parks. Since the Peruvians intend to create a Technology Park in the University, the São Paulo model is taken as a reference in Latin America.

The party integrated by Julio Amado Sotelo (Coordinator of the Technological Park), Cecilia Mejía Domínguez, Edwin Macavilca Ticlayauri, Máximo Palomino Tiznado, Pedro Martinez Infantes, Manuel León Julca, Augusto Arias Pittman, Job Fiestas Urbina, Rodolfo Aragón Rosadio, Carlos Martinez Valenzuela, Carlos Martinez Oyola, Pedro Retuerto Valenzuela, Eroncio Mendoza Nieto, Diego La Rosa Jaimez and Carmen Aranda Bazalar.

Founded in 1959 as a School of Aquaculture and Oceanography, the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión National University of Huacho received the name as it is known today in 1967. With more than 30 undergraduate courses in the areas of Humanities, Exact and Biological Sciences, the institution is a reference in the public higher education in Peru.
