Scania sells 65% more stimulated by harvest

The national sales of Scania, in February had increase 65% compared to the month of January. Stimulated by the beginning of the harvest of grains, trucks had 504 units sold. The sector of transport of grains contributed with 40% of the sales, and the transportation of sugar cane, 16%. The Consórcio Scania Brasil represented 19% of the sales. For the Vehicles Sales director of Scania Brasil, Roberto Leoncini, the result shows the precaution of the purchaser. "The number of deliveries made through the installment plan (consórcio, in Portuguese) shows the carrier continues to plan carefully the purchases of vehicles, mainly in the first months of the year", said Leoncini. The sale of buses had a relevant increase of almost 155%, with 56 units sold, all of them to the road sector. In 2008, Scania had growth of 23% in the sales of trucks, selling more than 8 thousand vehicles.
