The month of October started positively for the sector of telecommunications in Brazil and motivated the German giant Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), developer of solutions for wireless communication that arrived in the national market nearly 37 years ago, to invest 2 million Euros in the increase of the portfolio of equipment produced in its plant in Embu, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo.

Robert Pinto, President of RFS for Latin America, explains that, with the increase, in the first quarter of next year, the production of antennae must increase nearly 20% in order to cater to all the countries of Latin America, by means of three distribution centers located in Argentina, Panama and Mexico. "The increasing demand for mobile broadband in the Country is related to the capacity of transmission", explained the President.

According to Pinto, the increase in the portfolio is basically related to the size of the antennae - until September it produced smaller antennae and, commencing this month, the process of manufacturing of larger equipment, with more than 35 meters, will be started. "Our solution will be more complete. In total, there are eight sizes of antenna. We produced five here, in Brazil, and now we will produce all sizes", revealed the officer.

According to the company, for every 30 new employees hired with the increase of the production, nearly other 90 jobs will be stimulated in the industry of the Country. "We will have 80 employees in the plant, a number that can be increased according to the demand", says the President, who is optimistic about the businesses for next year.

Despite the reheating of the economy, Pinto explains the company has intensely suffered the impacts of the financial crisis in the first half of the year, preventing this year's results from being as positive as last year's, when RFS presented growth of 40% in relation to 2007. "The fourth quarter will still not be better than last year's, but it will certainly be better than the other quarters of the year", he considered. Brazil is the largest Country of Latin America for RFS, representing from 35% to 40% of the business made in this region. The German giant Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), of wireless communication solutions, will enlarge its plant in Embu (SP).
