Renato Archer Center enters the SPTec

The Renato Archer Center for Technology Information (CTI-Tec), in Campinas (SP), will be the 19th unit to receive provisional accreditation São Paulo System of Technological Parks. The accreditation will be made official on Monday morning (22/11) by the Secretary of Development of the State of São Paulo, Luciano Almeida, at the headquarters of the secretariat. CTI-TEC is an institution connected to the Ministry of Science and Technology aimed at the research in information and communication technologies (ICT). The inclusion in SPTec enables the center to receive resources from the State Government of São Paulo for infrastructure and research conducting.
Installed in a land of 379 thousand square meters, the CTI-TEC has ten laboratories and brings together about 280 researchers who interact with the industry and the academy in the fields of electronics, microelectronics, systems, software and ICT applications such as robotics, decision support software and 3D technologies for industry and medicine. The technology parks are privileged undertakings to support innovative activities. In this space companies, universities and research institutions can interact in order to develop technology-based solutions.
São Paulo System of Technological Parks aims to attract investment in innovation and encourage the creation of companies of innovatation. The SPTec already totals 30 initiatives for implementation of technology parks. With the entry of the CTI-TEC, it reaches 19 projects with provisional accreditation in SPTec: Barretos, Botucatu, Campinas (three initiatives: Center of Research and Innovation of Unicamp, CPqD and CTI-TEC), Ilha Solteira, Mackenzie-Tamboré, Piracicaba, Ribeirão Preto, Santo André, Santos, São Carlos (two initiatives: ParqTec and EcoTechnology), São Jose do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, São Paulo (two initiatives: Jaguaré and East Zone) and Sorocaba.
