The Technological Laboratory of Integrable Systems (LSI-TEC), connected to the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), entered into a partnership with the São Paulo Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Competitiveness (Investe SP), an agency of the Government of the State of São Paulo, on March 2. The agreement aims at attracting investments and establishing partnerships with companies interested in the development of new technologies.

Investe SP will identify technology-based companies with the potential and profile to invest in São Paulo. According to the President of the Agency, Mário Mugnaini Júnior, the expertise LSI-TEC has in providing strategic information should facilitate the attraction of new businesses. João Antonio Zuffo, President of the LSI-TEC, believes the agreement will be a form of systematizing the investment opportunities in São Paulo, a State "that has a consolidated structure in the area of research and innovation", he said.

Founded in 1999, the LSI-TEC is a nonprofit organization that carries out research in the areas of microelectronics, semiconductor materials and information and communication technologies. Among the sectors in which it operates are: Digital TV, learning and rehabilitation technologies, digital health, virtual reality, networks, wireless technologies and secure electronic transactions.
