Mayor Maria Edna shows the areas available for the construction of new enterprises in Mococa during a visit to Investe SP
The municipal administrators present at the meeting discussed the city’s vocation and were introduced to the work of Investe São Paulo in investment attraction
Similarly to Mococa, other cities will also present their vocations to the team of Investe SP in the upcoming days
On March 19, the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós, was visited by the mayor of Mococa, Maria Edna Gomes Maziero. The purpose of the meeting was the presentation of the city’s vocation and possible areas for industrial investments.
“We identify the needs and demands of companies wishing to invest in São Paulo and, based on that, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of municipalities and areas that will guide the decision on where to build the enterprise. For this reason, it is extremely important to maintain a close relationship with local governments and be updated about the areas available,” said Quirós.
The mayor highlighted the city’s advantages. “We are in an area rich in water resources and with great availability of energy. In addition, we are exporters of workforce to the region. With the construction of new industrial enterprises, we now seek to retain our workers and thus develop the city socially and economically,” she said.
Located in the northeast of the state of São Paulo, Mococa is part of the Administrative Region of Campinas and relies on an extensive logistics infrastructure network, with easy access to neighboring states and major cities of São Paulo, such as Ribeirão Preto and Campinas. With a population of 68,000 people, the city has three ETECs (State Technical Schools of São Paulo) for the qualification of the local workforce, as well as a large presence in dairy production.
