Paying attention to the importance environmental sustainability has gained in the corporate market, Cassiopéia, a manufacturer of ecologically correct cleaning products, entered the niche less than one year ago. Pioneer in the sale of cleaning products free from petrochemical products in the country, the company called consultant Antonio Carlos Laet, former president of Johnson's Wax corporate division, in order to make a distribution project for the corporate market. Up until then, Cassiopéia produced only for retail, through the Bio Wash brand. After market surveys, product tests and competition analysis, Laet created Green Pack, a plan focused only on companies in partnership with Ideal, distributor of cleaning products. In a little less than one year, it gained nearly 100 clients, such as Basf, Unibanco, Alcoa, Ipitanga/Petrobrás and Infraero, besides several schools, such as Santa Cruz school, in São Paulo and the Parque School, in Rio. The package includes multiuse cleaner, neutral detergent, light cleaning degreaser, heavy cleaning degreaser and liquid soap for hands, besides PET sweepers and paper-towel made with recycled material. According to Laet, the companies not only started associating their products and services to "green" values, but now, more sensible to the theme, they have worried about adopting internal procedures in line with the principles of sustainability. Cassiopéia only uses raw-materials of vegetable origin, like coconut, palm and castor oil. The solvents, perfumes and preservatives are natural. The package offered to the companies also includes environmental education for the cleaning staff with lessons about the basic principles of the use of the products, selective waste collection and rational use of water. The service includes the affixing of a seal that informs that the company uses a "green" cleaning system. According to Laet, the production of Cassiopéia's cleaning products does not emit carbon, while each produced ton of petrochemical raw-material emits 1.6 ton of carbon into the atmosphere.
