Kärcher foresees ending year with 13% growth

Kärcher Brasil, the German multinational leader in cleaning systems, foresees growing 13% this year and should end 2009 with earnings of R$ 150 million (US$ 83 million). The Brazilian plant, located in Paulínia (SP), caters to the entire national territory in addition to the Latin American market. All over the world, Kärcher foresees selling the total of 1.4 billion Euros in 2009.
Due to the average annual growth of 21% the Brazilian branch presented in the last decade, the international headquarters have decided to invest, even in the period of crisis, R$ 4 million (US$ 2.2 million) in the new Distribution Center in the plant of the company in Paulínia. With the new 5 thousand square meters space, Kärcher Brasil doubles the storage capacity with less waste of parts and more agility, modernizes the production line and increases its staff with 50 new job positions, reaching 380 employees in Brazil. The Managing Officer of Kärcher Brasil, Abílio Cepêra, said that besides the distribution center a smaller 300-square-meter building was also erected to work as a standard workshop for a technical assistance for more than 500 partners in Brazil.
Cepêra points out important advantages for the company with the distribution center. "With the distribution center our after-sale work will be much more efficient and effective with greater control of the stocks with one single starting point for distribution in the Country. This has also allowed freer areas inside the area of production for the launching of new products. The building was projected and built with the collection of rainwater that will be used in our industrial projects and in the bathrooms", said Cepêra.
