With the backing of InvestSP—the São Paulo State Investment Promotion Agency, linked to the state's Department of Economic Development—Brazilian food and beverage companies are taking center stage at the first edition of Gulfood Green in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This event aims to promote sustainability in the food sector.

The Brazilian companies showcased and negotiated products such as coffee, spices, honey, jams, and olive oils with potential clients and partners focused on sustainable farming practices, organic products, and solutions to reduce the environmental impact of food cultivation and consumption.

The participation of Brazilian companies in the event is the result of a partnership between InvestSP, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex Brasil), and the National Confederation of Agriculture (CNA), whose Dubai representation is located within InvestSP's office in the city.

In addition to helping select the participating companies, InvestSP organized business matchmaking sessions and held a preparatory seminar—with support from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce—focusing on business opportunities in the region and clarifying local market regulations and requirements.

“This is a unique opportunity for companies to access a market with high demand for food, as the Middle East imports a significant portion of its consumption and is increasingly focused on environmental best practices,” said Ana Beatriz Fernandes, head of InvestSP’s Dubai office. “Beyond creating business opportunities that generate jobs and income, the event also promotes São Paulo as the premier destination for investments in Latin America.”

In addition to its Dubai office, which covers the entire Middle East, InvestSP has offices in North America, Europe, and Asia, working to open international markets for São Paulo companies and attract foreign investment to the state.
