Investe SP takes part in meeting with representatives of municipalities of far Northwest of the State
The General Manager of Institutional and International Relations of Investe SP and the Manager of the International Area, Wilson Soares and Luiz Arbex, took part, on April 8 and 9, in the meeting of municipalities of the AMENSP (Association of the Northwest Municipalities of the State of São Paulo).
Representatives of the 16 cities that integrate the association meet on a monthly-basis to discuss actions to stimulate the development of the region, under social, economic, cultural, urban, touristic and environmental aspects. Wilson Soares and Luiz Arbex have received the invitation from the President of the association and Mayor of Sud Mennucci, Celso Torquato Junqueira Franco, to attend the meeting this month and present the work of Investe SP to the other members of the AMENSP.
On the first day of the event, the meeting was held in Guararapes and it gathered representatives of the municipal secretariats, who presented information on the economy and the potential activities of their municipalities. At this occasion, the Manager of the International Area of Investe SP made a presentation on how to attract investments for the region, from the structure and information that should be present on the site of the city, to the assistance to investors, suggesting a future qualification on the matter for the representatives of the municipality. "We went there to show how, together - the Agency and the municipalities - can direct the investments to the region", said Arbex.
Already on the second day of the meeting, the municipality of Bento de Abreu hosted the activities among the mayors members of the AMENSP. The presentations were divided into four topics: Education, Management, Development and Administration. Investe São Paulo was one of the themes of the Development topic. The General Manager of Institutional and International Relations of the agency provided information on the entrance of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country and the way the institution works to direct such investments to São Paulo.
The municipalities that integrate the AMENSP are: Andradina, Bento de Abreu, Castilho, Guaraçaí, Guararapes, Ilha Solteira, Itapura, Lavínia, Mirandópolis, Murutinga do Sul, Nova Independência, Pereira Barreto, Rubiácea, Sud Mennucci, Suzanápolis and Valparaíso.
