Investe SP participates in events in Norway and Slovenia to attract investments to São Paulo
The director of Institutional and International Relations of the agency attended the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, and the ONS Fair in Norway
To introduce to foreign investors the advantages of settling their companies in the State of São Paulo, the director of Institutional and International Relations of Investe São Paulo, Sérgio Costa, was in the business mission organized by Fiesp and Apex-Brazil, participating, on Friday, August 31, of the ONS show, in Stavanger, Norway. Then, on Sunday, August 2, the agency participated in the Bled Strategic Forum, in Slovenia.
“This was an excellent opportunity to promote the state as a destination for new investments by European companies, as well as to disclose the services of Investe São Paulo for investors,” said Costa.
At the ONS show, Costa and the director of the Department of Competitiveness and Technology (Decomtec), of Fiesp, presented to companies in the oil and gas chain the advantages of investing in São Paulo. In the presentation, the two showed macroeconomic data about the state and how it gathers most of the companies in the sector, in addition to the skilled labor and infrastructure necessary for the production flow.
Through a partnership between the management of Institutional and International Relations of the agency and FIESP, the SP committee also attended the seminar Brazilian Day at ONS, in the same country. The event, aimed at entrepreneurs related to the naval sector and oil industry, was attended by approximately 140 people. Both the ONS show and the Brazilian Day are events that ended the business mission that began on August 25.
In Slovenia, the theme of the Bled Strategic Forum was “Europe and the Reshaped Global Order.” Investe São Paulo was part of the panel “Crises and Beyond,” where Costa showed the need for European companies to seek new markets in order to internationalize their operations. He also showed how the agency can help entrepreneurs. “Investe São Paulo is ready to welcome investors and facilitate their investments in the state,” he said.
The Bled Forum ended this Monday, Sept 3, when there was also a meeting between Investe SP and the Director-General for Economic Diplomacy of Slovenia, Ambassador Stanislav Rascan, to discuss mechanisms to increase the Slovenian investment in the State of São Paulo. The agency’s mission to Scandinavian countries ends on Sept 5.
