Investe SP participates in Brazil-Slovene Business Summit
Seminar aimed to close relations between the countries
Aiming to introduce the agency to potential Slovenian investors, the institutional and international relations officer at Investe SP, Sérgio Costa, and the agency’s business prospect manager, Renato de Barros, participated in the Brazil-Slovene Business Summit this Tuesday, June 19, in the principal place of business of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp).
“We have followed up the projects of companies established in the state of São Paulo by providing free-of-charge advisory services, and we assure the secrecy from the support to the moment when the company decides to announce its investment”, explained Costa. The officer emphasized that São Paulo is the Latin America’s largest consumer market and that it has the country's largest concentration of industries. “The state of São Paulo has qualified human capital, and its doors are open to receive Slovenian investors”, he completed.
The deputy officer at the International Relations and Foreign Trade Department at Fiesp, Newton de Mello, presented the industrial characteristics of the state of São Paulo and emphasized the importance to close business relations between Brazil and Slovenia in the future.
The international relations officer at the International Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, Ales Cantarutti, remembered the common characteristics between both countries and highlighted that Brazil has a number of opportunities. “We hope that, after this seminar, we will be able to close our relation with Brazil”, finalized Cantarutti.
In 2011, the Brazil-Slovenia bilateral business reached the amount of US$391 million. The state of São Paulo accounts for 15% of the total business chain, which has been increasing every year.
