Investe SP participates in a meeting with delegation from Dongguan, China

Businessmen from different sectors present the development plan of the city and seek partnerships with Brazilians

The manager of Institutional and International Relations of Investe São Paulo, Wilson Soares, represented the Government of the State of São Paulo at a Meeting to Promote the Economy and Trade between the city of Donguan and the State of São Paulo. The event was promoted by the Union of Construction of São Paulo and the Brazil-China Chamber of Economic Development, and was held last Wednesday, July 10, at the World Trade Center, in São Paulo.

The meeting gathered approximately 30 Chinese businessmen from the automotive, construction, electrical, energy, furniture, import and export services, technology and clothing sectors. The delegation was headed by the mayor of Dongguan, Xu Jianhua, and the vice-mayor, Hu Yu.  The intention of the group was to present the plan for growth and modernization of the city and discuss the business opportunities between Dongguan and the State of São Paulo.

Dongguan is located in Guangdong province. Its current population totals 8.2 million people. Important industrial city located in the Pearl River Delta, Dongguan borders with the provincial capital of Guangzhou to the north, Huizhou to the northeast, Shenzhen to the south, and Foshan to the west. One of the largest malls in the world is located in Dongguan, the South China Mall.
