Investe SP integrates the business mission organized by Fiesp and Apex-Brazil to Finland and Norway; schedule began in Helsinki, with seminar about partnership opportunities in the oil and gas sector
Participate in seminars to disseminate the investment opportunities in the State of São Paulo and visit Finnish and Norwegian companies who are interested in settling in Brazil. These are the main activities that the Director of Institutional and International Relations of Investe SP, Sérgio Costa, will carry out in Finland and Norway, from August 26 to September 1. The business mission was organized by the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) and Apex-Brazil.
The schedule began on Monday, August 27, with the seminar “Opportunities for partnership between Brazil and Finland in the oil and gas sector” in the city of Helsinki, Finland. About 110 entrepreneurs attended the event, in which Costa presented the competitive advantages of the State of São Paulo for those who wish to invest in the oil and gas market, highlighting the relevance and logistics facilities to be established in the State. “São Paulo is home to most of the supply chain of Petrobras,” said Costa. The director of Investe SP also explained what services are available to assist investors at all stages of their ventures.
The mission leader, vice president of Fiesp and director of the Department of Competitiveness and Technology of the institution, José Ricardo Roriz Coelho, presented data on the state economy and showed the performance of Fiesp for the industry in the state. He highlighted the joint work between Fiesp and Investe SP to support new investments and the development of the oil and gas chain in São Paulo, considering the opportunity generated by the recent discoveries of new oil reserves off the coast of the state.
The Finnish stage of the mission relied on the support of Finpro teams, Finnish agency that promotes exports and investments, which is also coordinating visits to industry associations and companies with the potential to invest in Brazil. The members of the mission are Brazilian companies and institutions interested in strengthening the trade and investment bonds with the two countries.
At the end of the seminar held on Monday, there were roundtables with companies interested in establishing partnerships with Brazilian companies and making investments in Brazil. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Brazil in Finland, Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta; the director of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Trade of Fiesp, Thomaz Zanotto; the president of the Confederation of Finnish Industries, Ole Johansson; and the President of Finpro, Kari Häyrinen.
This Tuesday, Aug. 28, other business meetings were held at the headquarters of the Association of Marine Industries of Finland, also followed by meetings with investors and technical visits. On Wednesday, Aug. 29, in Stavager, Norway, there is a meeting with the Ambassador of Brazil in Oslo, Paulo Ribeiro Guimarães.
