Grupo H. Olhos, a privately-held company with 35 years of experience offering ophthalmology services, plans to invest R$32 million opening an eye care hospital in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. The group already owns Hospital de Olhos Paulista, in the capital, and eight other clinics in the São Paulo Metropolitan region. The company will shoulder 30% of the investment and borrow the rest from banks. Construction started in January, and the hospital could begin operating as early as February as the building was already complete. It will be able to provide 6,000 emergency consultations and 3,000 surgeries a month.
