General Mills, the producer of the Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Forno de Minas and Frescarini brands, chose to maintain the investments foreseen for this year in Brazil and expects to grow above the market in 2008, mainly in the products of the brands it does not produce in the country, like Häagen-Dazs, and Nature Valley. "Specifically in these two brands we expect positive growth well above two digits", affirms Waldemar Thiago Junior, new Marketing Officer of the group, which is the fifth largest in the food segment in the world. The financial year of the company follows the North-American model, which begins only in May. "The company has reacted well to the crisis, since it is part of a sector that is well seen by investors", affirmed Thiago Junior.
