Entrepreneurs from São Paulo interested in participating in the mission promoted to encourage new business with Argentina can contact Investe São Paulo, which will promote the event on November 2, 3 and 4, in Buenos Aires.

Negotiations in this direction have already begun between the president of Investe SP (Investment Promotion Agency of São Paulo), Juan Quirós, and the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Government of President Maurício Macri, Marcos Peña, during a session held at Casa Rosada, in Buenos Aires.

Investe SP already promotes consultations with Argentine buyers to define the potentials. Entrepreneurs from São Paulo interested in participating in the mission should send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]. The mission is similar to the ones successfully promoted to Colombia and Peru, always in partnership with Apex-Brazil, and that has already resulted in good business for the participating entrepreneurs.

Investe SP will also make previous contacts for the mission at the event “From Argentina to the World”, promoted by President Maurício Macri, which should attract over a thousand entrepreneurs and investors from various countries, held on September 12 to 15, in Buenos Aires. The event will be attended by ministers and executives from various countries.

The president of Investe São Paulo said that the entrepreneurs from São Paulo believe in the recovery of the Argentine economy and that the state of São Paulo, for its good governance and infrastructure, has managed to attract investments despite the crisis.

“The governor Geraldo Alckmin sees the Argentine market with great enthusiasm, especially now with the policy of openness to the world of president Macri,” said Quirós to the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Argentine president.

The minister was also interested in promoting a meeting between president Macri and the governor Geraldo Alckmin due to the essential role of the state of São Paulo in the economic relations with Argentina. “We are interested in further strengthening our relations with São Paulo and we will certainly participate in the mission promoted by Investe SP in Buenos Aires,” said Marcos Peña.

Argentina has been anxiously monitoring the progress of the institutional situation in Brazil. There has been a 15.7% drop in the sales of Argentine products to Brazil this year compared to the previous year. But Brazil recorded a surplus of US$ 207 million in July on trade with Argentina. The expectation is that this scenario should improve in the upcoming months, with advantages to both countries.
