Director of Investe SP presents the agency in the third Forum of the Automobile Industry

The forum explained about the new system and presented the main attraction features of the country for new investments

With the aim of attracting new automotive industries to the State, the Director of Investe São Paulo Sérgio Costa, participated in the Third Forum of the Automobile Industry, held last Monday, 9, in the Golden Hall of the WTC, in São Paulo. The event, which was attended by more than 600 industry entrepreneurs, aimed to assess the evolution of Brazilian competitiveness program and start a discussion about the current rules of the automotive system.

Discussions on tax incentives, credit lines, expanding local automotive market, GDP growth above national average, training of manpower, logistics infrastructure, energy framework and technology parks were held during the event. In the panel "As novas oportunidades nos polos automotives (New opportunities in automotive poles)", Costa presented Investe SP as front door for investors who want to install or expand their businesses in the State and noted that companies like Chery and Toyota have settled in the State through free consulting rendered by Investe São Paulo. "We registered more than BRL 10 billion in investments promoting the generation of jobs, income and technological innovation in the State," he concluded.

In the same panel, the Secretary of Economic Development of Sorocaba, Mário Tanigawa, presented the characteristics of the city and emphasized the importance of the new technology park. ‘The technology park is ready to receive the entrepreneurs who want to invest in innovation," he pointed out.

The event counted on the presence of Vice President and CEO of Chery Brasil, Luis Curi, and representatives from Daf Brasil, Mitsubish Motors do Brasil and Jac Motors Brasil on the panel "As expectativas para os novos empreendimentos (expectations for the new ventures)”, which clarified the position of these companies with regard to the new automotive system.

Investe SP’s Manager of International and Institutional Relations, Wilson Soares, and Business Prospecting Manager, Renato Barros, also participated.
