CSU launches biggest call center of Latin America

The CSU credit card administrator, owned by businessman Marcos Leite, opened, yesterday, in Barueri (SP), another call center operation that is, physically, the largest of Latin America, with 25 thousand square meters. The unit started with 180 service desks and three active clients: Nossa Caixa, Porto Seguro and the financing company Omni.

According to João Carlos Matias, officer of CSU Contact, call center division of the group, more than R$ 10 million (US$ 5.4 million) were spent in this new project, which has capacity to employ 20 thousand  call center operators. "Until the mid of next year, we will have nearly 15 thousand people working at this site", he explained. The operation has capacity to receive 46 million calls a month.

The unit has also brought a new management policy of human resources associated to education, which will be disseminated through the 8 other call center operations of the group, spread through the Country. According to Matias, CSU entered into a partnership with Microlins (branch of Anhanguera Educacional), Uninove, Faceq and Unifieo in order to offer courses to the employees. In the second quarter of this year, the CSU group invested R$ 6.8 million (US$ 3.68 million) that was intended for the development of new systems and for internal improvements in the company.
