Another Chinese maker will start disputing the Brazilian market. JAC Motors will import four models as of the end of next year - a minivan, two sedans and a compact, with launchings scheduled for October. It will be the sixth Chinese brand operating in the Brazilian market. The maker will enter in the country through a partnership with the group of SHC dealerships, which already distribute cars of the brands Citroën, Ford, Volkswagen and Jaguar. The agreement was executed yesterday. Until October, US$ 100 million will be invested in order to develop a network of 50 dealerships. "Our objective is to reach 1% of the Brazilian market until 2011, which will be equivalent to 35 thousand units in the year", said the president of the SHC group, Sérgio Habib. On his turn, the Vice-President of JAC Motors, David Zhang, affirmed that "Brazil is strategic for the expansion of the company outside China" because it is among the countries whose market exceeds 2 million cars sold a year.
