Country has greatest Dollar inflow since September

The balance of the inflow and outflow of Dollars of the country is positive at US$ 2.059 billion this month, up to the 15. The accumulated value so far is the greatest since September last year (US$ 2.803 billion), when there was the worsening of the international financial crisis, after the bankruptcy of the American bank Lehman Brothers, and it also exceeds the registered in the first ten business days of the same month of 2008 (US$ 1.477 billion). The data was released by the Central Bank yesterday.

In April this year, the balance was positive at US$ 1.430 billion. In the year to date, the foreign exchange flow is positive at US$ 516 million, a value well below the US$ 17.140 billion registered in the same period of 2008.

In the ten business days of this month, the commercial flow (exports, imports and foreign trade financing) is positive at US$ 658 million and the financial flow (investments in securities, remittances of profits and dividends overseas and direct foreign investments, among other operations) register a positive surplus of US$ 1.401 billion. In the year to date, the commercial flow is positive at US$ 12.083 billion and the financial flow is negative at US$ 11.567 billion.
