The indicators show a strong expansion of the processing industry, even considering that part of the growth in the year, "was the recovery of losses from the recent financial crisis". Castelo Branco said, however, that the measures adopted by BC, in December, of restriction of credit, and the resumption of the fiscal adjustment accompanied by the high in the interest rates, "are not favorable to the development of the productive sector".
The survey found that 18 of the 19 sectors of the processing industry grew in November. Highlight for electronic and communication material (38.1%), machinery and electrical equipment (34.3%) and metal products (29.3%).
