Brazil will be the 6th multinationals investment destination

Brazil will be the sixth preferred investment destination of the multinational companies in the next five years, surpassing traditional economies such as German, Italy, Japan, and France. The evaluation is from KPMG consulting, which emphasizes that the international setting will live a real revolution in view of the emerging markets. According to the company, among the six first investment destinations in the world untill 2013, four of them will be emerging countries. China will surpass the United States in the leadership. Brazil, although in the sixth place, will be the last one among the Bricas - a block formed by Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Among the multinational companies consulted by KPMG, 14% affirmed that they would invest in Brazil until 2013, 13% in Germany, and 10% in France. The list is headed by China, which was mentioned as an investment destination by 24 % of the consulted multinationals. Next came the United States (23%), Russia (19%), India (18%) and the United Kingdom (17%). The mining sector will be one of those which will receive more investments in Brazil in the next five years. But more and more capital will be allocated in sectors such as financial services, manufacturers, and industrial products. Brazil will be the principal investment destination of Spanish companies and the third one of the Chinese and Canadian ones. Regarding Brazilian investment abroad, 35% of the national companies will go to the American market this year. South America comes in second place, with 25%, followed by Europe, with 20%. China, despite being the world leader in international investment destinations, will atract only 10% of the consulted Brazilian companies.
