BNDES launches working-capital line for small businesses

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) will announce this Thursday new measures to facilitate working-capital loans with special terms for micro, small and midsize companies now facing borrowing challenges. The BNDES Progeren line will be increased by R$5 billion and offered directly. Companies with annual sales of up to R$90 million may bowwow at the Long-Term Interest Rate (TJLP), today at 7.5%. Larger companies with sales of over R$300 million, meanwhile, will have to borrow at market costs.
