Alfa Tennant, specialized in machinery and equipment for industrial cleaning manufactured one thousand pieces of equipment for the sector in 2009. From those, nearly 120 were exported to China, and this year, the goal of the company is to double its exports to the Asian country. The company also affirmed that this year it intends to grow 20% compared to last year. "At this moment we are undergoing internal adjustments to continue the growth of the company", said the Director. According to Haim, in the first half two industrial machines that should support the growth of this year will be launched.

Electrolux - international leader in home appliances that also operates in the area of industrial cleaning with high pressure washers and professional vacuum cleaners - intends to grow nearly 20% in 2010, according to the sales manager of the company, Elias Mendoça Mansur. "We are very optimistic about this year, because, unfortunately, in 2009, due to the crisis we could not develop as much as we wanted". However, when questioned about the earnings of the previous year, the company said it does not disclose this number. Electrolux also confirmed it will make five launchings in 2010, there will be three models of industrial washers and two vacuum cleaners, but it did not say how much will be invested in the expansion of those lines. The company currently has 30 products in the segment.

The sector of industrial cleaning is less optimistic than the companies of the area and it foresees growth of 8%, according to the data of the Brazilian Association of the Industrial Cleaning Market (Abralimp). In the prior year, the sector sold R$ 9.2 billion (US$ 5.4 billion). According to the President of the Association, Ernesto Brezzi, the expectation of growth is based on the mechanization of the cleaning sector. He also commented that the service sector that hires people to work in professional cleaning should grow 4%. The market is less optimistic in this area due to the lack of specialized manpower and because the people who used to work in the sector are migrating to civil engineering.
