Aché and Eurofarma join consortium to develop new drugs

Pharmaceutical laboratories Aché and Eurofarma are partnering in the consortium formed by Embrapii and the Medicinal Chemistry Center for Open Innovation (CQMED), along with University of Campinas (Unicamp), which aims to develop new anti-infectious and anticancer drugs. According to Embrapii, which is linked to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the program will have initial investment of R$8.4 million. Eurofarma will focus on research of new molecules to develop anti-infection drugs, while Aché will develop drugs for cancer treatment.
