22nd International Conference on Coffee Science

The 22nd International Conference on Coffee Science will be held between September 14 and 19, in Campinas (SP). The event will gather representatives from 14 coffee producing countries and 14 coffee consumer countries. The main international scientific conference of the coffee productive chain will have 371 presentations of scientific works, besides lectures on the two main subjects: "Coffee and health" and "Consumption trends and coffee science". The event, held every two years by the International Coffee Science Association (Asic), will also have presentations on other thematic areas, such as agronomy, chemistry, biotechnology, and coffee processing and improvement. The scientific program includes lectures with specialists from several countries who will debate themes such as "Consumption trends and coffee science", "beneficial effects of coffee in human health", "The chemistry of coffee and the physiological effects", "The chemistry of coffee aroma and flavor", "The quality and chemistry of coffee" and "Coffee genomics and biochemistry".
