The State of São Paulo is noted for its significant contribution to the national economy, producing 31% of Brazil's GDP (2017). Brazil's largest industrial park is just one contributor to the thriving and diversified São Paulo economy which is boosted by a high qualified labor force.

Industry in São Paulo is built on a solid technology foundation: the State produces high value added goods, most notably in the segments of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Oil and Natural Gas, the Green Economy, Aeronautics and the Automotive segment.
