SXSW: Casa SP exceeds public expectations in three days of the innovation event

The event program brought together more than 7,700 artists, entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovation enthusiasts

More than 7,700 people visited Casa São Paulo, at South by Southwest (SXSW), in just three days of programming. The expected attendance was 5,000 people during the 4 days the space was open, which is an initiative of the State Government.

Casa São Paulo is attracting attention in the SXSW program and has already received visits from several renowned names, such as futurist and expert in technological trends, Amy Webb, who was one of the most anticipated speakers at the event. In addition to her, the renowned artist and cultural activist, Maria Paula, the designer and creator of iconic brands, Fred Gelli, and the musician and producer of cultural events, Zé Ricardo, also came to see what's new at the space.

“We are promoting many connections at Casa São Paulo and this public success is the result of all the innovation and creativity potential of the State of São Paulo. We want to continue showing that São Paulo is for everyone”, comments Marília Marton, Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry of the State.

In its 1,000 m², the House brings together artists, entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovation enthusiasts. Casa São Paulo is an achievement of the Government of São Paulo, organized by the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry and by InvestSP – an investment promotion agency linked to the Secretariat of Economic Development –, in partnership with Gerando Falcões.

The initiative is sponsored by Ambev, BRF/Marfrig, CCR Group, through the CCR Institute, Itaú and Fundação Itaú, Sabesp and Toyota. Companies were also highlighted in the programming and in Business Talk moments.
