The Director will bring experts from Piauí to learn about the operation of Investe SP
On July 03, the director of the Research Unit of the Department of Development of the State of Piauí, Ted Wilson Barros, visited Investe São Paulo. He was welcomed by the Institutional Director, Sérgio Costa, who showed the role of Agency in the attraction of investments to the state of São Paulo.
Ted Wilson said that the performance of Investe SP is known all over Brazil and that he was interested in learning more about the legal and working model of the Agency, which works jointly with several sectors of the economy and whose work has resulted in the generation of thousands of jobs and income.
“I intend to bring experts from Piauí to take a closer look at this model, acting as the private initiative, but under the command of the state, being accountable to the Government on their actions,” said Ted Wilson, who had the opportunity to attend a full presentation on the achievements of Investe SP.
The director Sérgio Costa commented on the visitor’s interest: “He showed that the state of Piauí already knew our work and now wants to develop something similar. This is very important and also confirms that the Government of São Paulo has made the right decision in keeping an investment agenda and help Brazil”.
