French businessmen attend presentation about Investe São Paulo

Manager’s presentation talks about the economic relations between São Paulo and France and the advantages of investing in the state

The general manager of Investe SP, Wilson Soares, presented the potentials of the state of São Paulo to those who attended the event

On March 19, the general manager of Investe São Paulo, Wilson Soares, made a presentation to a group of businessmen from the Chamber of Commerce France-Brazil.

During the meeting, Soares showed data regarding the trade relations between São Paulo and France. According to information from the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), the state is responsible for exporting high value-added products, such as aircraft, pharmaceuticals and machinery.

According to the manager, its capacity to expand makes São Paulo the gateway for new investments. “For example, the state accounts for 69.4% of the Brazilian production of electronics, 42.8% of the manufacturing of vehicles and 51% of the Brazilian production of ethanol. These factors combine to make the region the best environment for business,” he said.

Currently, Investe São Paulo offers support services in licensing, welcoming foreign missions and in the identification of locations for the introduction of new ventures. The entity was responsible for attracting R$ 27.1 billion in investments to the state, which generated 53,000 direct jobs.

Investe SP has already assisted several French companies develop their projects in São Paulo. This is the case of Cebrace, in Jacareí, and Norac, in Ibiúna.
