The team highlighted the economic potential of Itapira

Encouraging the creation of new industries that generate jobs and income in Itapira. A strategy geared towards this goal has been defined in the working meeting by the president of Investe São Paulo, Juan Quirós; the state deputy Barros Munhoz; the mayor of Itapira, José Natalino Paganini; and the City Development Secretary, Sérgio Augusto Lopes Pinheiro.

Mayor Paganini and deputy Barros Munhoz stressed that the city has three industrial districts and loads of space for new investments, since Itapira is an option off the Bandeirantes-Anhanguera route line.

President Juan Quirós advised the mayor to register, in the Área das Prefeituras (Municipality area) on the Investe SP portal, the new areas available for investments. He also offered to go to Itapira with the Agency's staff to talk to entrepreneurs interested in investing in the city. The mayor and the deputy approved the idea and will schedule a meeting soon.

Barros Munhoz prepared a history of Itapira and its potential for both the industrial and agriculture sectors, noting that the City has Etec, Fatec and other technical schools. The director of Investe SP, Sérgio Costa, also participated in the meeting.
