Valor Econômico

WestRock, one of the world's largest corrugated packaging companies, confirmed on Thursday it will invest at least $125 million to build a plant in Brazil. The amount, presented as a "minimum project cost," was disclosed by the company’s chief executive Steven Voorhees during a conference call on the 2017 fiscal year, which ended in September. The new unit will be built in Porto Feliz, São Paulo. When it is operating at full capacity, the plant will produce more than 400 million square meters of cardboard per year and bring "multiple benefits" to WestRock, Mr. Voorhees said, including improved cost structure and margins.
