Suzano starts fluff production in Brazil

Two weeks ago Suzano Papel e Celulose became Brazil's first producer of fluff pulp, used in diapers and absorbent pads. The Brazilian company also is the first to make the product with eucalyptus pulp. Dubbed “Eucafluff,” the company's product started to be produced at the Suzano, São Paulo mill on November 18, after six years of research and development, in which R$30 million were invested. The fluff foray is part of Suzano's diversification strategy that also includes a R$425 million investment to reach tissue production capacity of 60,000 tonnes a year.
