Valor Internacional

After becoming a safe haven for fashionable men, businessman Ricardo Almeida, 61, wants his women's brand to outgrow the men's in four years. "There are increasingly more executive women in the labor market", he says. His newest factory in Bom Retiro, São Paulo, has 7,800m² and capacity to triple production, amounting to more than 26,00 shirts and 8,00 tailored pieces per month. "Today the sports line, with jeans and polo shirts, accounts for 30% of the business. Shirt represent 25%. Tailoring is still the main thing", he says. Mr. Almeida will also invest in accessories, taking advantage of this own shoe factory.
