“Capão Bonito is on our radar and we will work to attract investments to the city,” said Sérgio Costa, institutional director of Investe SP

The city of Capão Bonito is on the radar of Investe São Paulo to attract investments. On August 4, the mayor Júlio Fernando Galvão Dias, accompanied by the state representative Edson Giriboni (PV) and the secretaries José Saito and Marcos Citadini were welcomed by the institutional director of the Agency, Sérgio Costa, who learned more about the municipality.

Capão Bonito, 230 km from São Paulo, has 48,000 inhabitants, covering an area of 1,600 km², duplicate roads via Tatuí and Sorocaba, an airport comprising 1,400 meters of paved runway, Fatec (Technical College), Etec (Technical School), furniture industry and two industrial districts. The mayor Júlio Dias said that his biggest challenge is to generate jobs in the city. For that, he offers areas for investors and a number of incentives.

“We have a Santa Casa (public hospital) with 80 beds, a positive financial situation and doctors on call in the emergency room. We eliminated the deficit of kindergartens in the city and we offer high quality of life due to our environmental assets and attractions, such as ecotourism and a local gastronomy recognized nationwide,” said the mayor, noting that there is still plenty of water in Capão Bonito, which has the springs of Rio Paranapanema and Rio das Almas, a large water source.

The director Sérgio Costa congratulated the city for being among the first ones to register its information in the Area of Municipalities of the agency’s website, and thanked the mayor, secretaries and state representative Giriboni for visiting the Agency. “Capão Bonito is on our radar and we will work to attract investments to the city,” he said.
