Valor Internacional

Fresenius, a German healthcare company, took advantage of new rules allowing foreign investors to own hospitals and clinics in Brazil to purchase 28 dialysis locations where it already was a minority partner. The company plans to invest R$300 million in the country until 2020, including R$200 million for the dialysis network and the rest in a factory of medical equipment and inputs in São Paulo. Fresenius owns 3,200 dialysis clinics across the world and also 150 general hospitals and sees tremendous potential to expand in the Brazilian kidney filtration market.
