Extrafarma ready to debut in São Paulo, new regions

Extrafarma, the pharmacy chain acquired by the Ultra group a year and a half ago, is preparing to enter the São Paulo market in the next months and gain ground in other regions, Valor has learned. The chain ranks ninth in the national market. The first store outside of the North and Northeast regions will be opened at an Ipiranga gas station in São Paulo. The pilot unit is Extrafarma’s second store in an Ipiranga gas station, also controlled by Ultra. Extrafarma had net revenues of R$1 billion from January to September.
