Vinn Participações will invest R$ 30 million to build a hotel complex of Transamérica hotel chain next to the campus of the University of São Paulo (USP) in São Carlos.

The project will rely on the support from Investe São Paulo, the investment promotion agency associated with the State Department of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation.

“São Carlos is a science hub, and therefore, it is constantly visited by representatives from foreign universities and research centers. Investing in this audience is crucial to boost the development of the region,” said the president of Investe SP, Juan Quirós.

The Hotel will feature 162 rooms and will be built alongside Shopping Passeio São Carlos, with operations expected to start in the first half of 2017. In addition to meeting the demand of university hubs and science and technology professionals, the Hotel will meet the growing demand of executives in the corporate sector and social events on weekends.
