Developed by the Government of the State of São Paulo and the Secretariat of Tourism, "São Paulo Guide: what to do during World Cup 2014" is an invitation to get to know over 55 tours that can be completed in one, two or three day outings, a few kilometers from the capital.

The publication with 236 pages presents surprising offers of tourist options, to Brazilians and foreigners, which include all public profiles and demonstrates that São Paulo destinations offer more than just being the Brazilian business capital.

The publication was divided into four main topics: Sun and beach, culture and leisure, eating and drinking options and adventure and nature, aiming to present São Paulo to the more than 300 thousand foreigners from the total 1.2 million tourists expected to the State of São Paulo for the world cup. Brazilians can take advantage of their visit to meet the cities surrounding the capital on weekends, extended holidays and celebration dates.

The 55 tourism options include: a visit to the historical city of Santos in Baixada Santista, in one day; two days of total refinement through the gastronomic tour in Campos do Jordão and Santo Antônio do Pinhal, Serra da Mantiqueira; and three days of adventure in the waterfalls and preserved beaches of Ilhabela and São Sebastião, in the North coast of São Paulo.

In addition to the suggested tours, the guide provides information about accommodation options, food, how to reach destinations and useful services for foreigners, with guidance about the currency, how to make phone calls and contact info for consulates. A special chapter is dedicated to the current and former great São Paulo football players that reveal their memories and travel preferences within the State.
