The investments planned by Termomecanica in 2015 should be fully completed by the end of the year. In total, R$ 42 million are being invested in the upgrade of two plants in São Bernardo do Campo (SP), allocated for the acquisition of new equipment, with the support from the investment promotion agency Investe São Paulo, associated with the Department of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of São Paulo.“In this moment of reduced industrial level in Brazil,

Termomecanica believes that the negative scenario can be minimized with government stimulus and the initiative of enterprises, especially by maintaining their investment programs in productivity,” said Regina Celi Venâncio, president of Termomecanica . “In this context, the support from Investe São Paulo has been key to allow the implementation of our expansion and modernization project, especially in aspects related to tax benefits, impacting directly on the maintenance of jobs and causing an increase of 15% in the production capacity".

Implemented in several phases, the project prioritized the quality and productivity of the continuous furnace lines for the manufacture of products such as brass and phosphor bronze horizontal flat bars, and the extruded tube lines. The investments were also allocated to the modernization of the cooling towers, with the acquisition of environmentally friendly equipment.
“The support from Investe SP was critical to the success of the negotiations with different state government agencies, which enabled the government to conduct new studies for granting tax benefits to the activity. Without the agency’s intermediation, it would be extremely complicated to make the project possible,” said the president.

This is the second successful partnership between Termomecanica and Investe São Paulo. “We have assisted the company in the dialogue with government agencies, especially in relation to tax matters. We know the importance of Termomecanica to the metal industry in São Paulo, and this is why we work closely with the company in all its expansions,” said Juan Quirós, president of the Agency.
