Sunlution plans to make flexible solar panels in Brazil

Valor International

Sunlution, a Brazilian wind and sun power concern, plans to start assembling floating solar panels in Brazil. The location of the first project, slated to cost up to R$5 million, is under study and managing partner Orestes Gonçalves Junior says the company wants to win financing from the Brazilian Development Bank. “Our initial capacity will be around 30 to 50 megawatts a year in floating panels,” he says. Sunlution partnered with French company Ciel et Terre, a pioneer in floating solar panels, to supply the technology. Sunlution envisions putting such panels on landfills and touts its flexible nature and low installation cost.
