On October 5, Investe São Paulo promoted another phase of the Industrial Export Extension Project (PEIEX). The event, responsible for providing guidance to entrepreneurs on exports and on how to access international markets, brought together more than 80 people at the headquarters of ABIGRAF (Brazilian Printing Industry Association), in the city of São Paulo.

Conducted by Silvana Gomes, expert in Business Management and Foreign Trade and Exports Coordinator at Investe São Paulo, the training course addressed the advantages from absorbing and expanding the exporting culture, in addition to explaining and discussing the details of the entire operation. Process flowchart, pricing, intermodal transport, tax relief and international logistics were among the topics discussed during the event, which lasted nine hours.

“PEIEX has contributed to structuring the growth of our production process,” said the participant Felipe Carvalho, business director of Music Kolor, the largest company in Latin America specialized in the paintwork of musical instruments. According to him, the training can help increase the volume of exports to countries such as the USA, UK and Japan. “With PEIEX, we want to scale, to structure it better. Producing large volumes to meet higher volumes,” he said.

On Wednesday, October 6, several entrepreneurs participating in the Peiex also attended the preparatory workshop for the São Paulo-Argentina mission. Learn more about the action.

About PEIEX

The purpose of the Industrial Export Extension Project (PEIEX) is to stimulate competitiveness and promote the exporting culture within the companies, qualifying and expanding the markets to new industries or those already active in foreign trade.
The actions promoted by PEIEX are developed in regions with large concentration of businesses and range from the implementation of management solutions, which exclusively depend on the entrepreneur and the available funds of the company, to the provision of technical information and support to access the markets, which are processes external to the company.

The program is part of the industrial policy promoted by the federal government called Plano Brasil Maior, developed to strengthen the Brazilian industry and stimulate technological innovation and foreign trade. At the federal level, PEIEX is managed by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil). In the state of São Paulo, Investe SP leads one of its operating units. The initiative relies on the support from the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil), as part of the National Exporting Culture Plan (PNCE), through an agreement.

The program includes missions of Brazilian companies for prospecting international markets, support to the arrival of potential buyers and foreign exporters, training seminars, in addition to the service provided free of charge through the Industrial Export Extension Project (Peiex), of Apex-Brazil, and Poupatempo do Exportador, an itinerant initiative that brings information from different institutions to the main metropolitan areas of the state.
