Investe SP will release 23 investment projects in the State of São Paulo in the first half of 2015, totaling about R$ 3.2 billion, with potential to generate more than 8300 jobs. About 52% of these projects should be allocated in the Administrative Area of Campinas. The data was released by Investe SP last Wednesday, February 25.

"These are companies from various sectors, such as research, health, logistics, food and processing. We cannot disclose their names just yet as we are under non-disclosure clauses with all companies advised by us. But soon we will be able to disclose information on job creation and income generation, which is essential in times of economic instability", said the president of São Paulo's Investment Promotion Agency, Juan Quirós.

According to the president of Investe SP, these enterprises are major companies that will attract suppliers and subcontractors to the surrounding municipalities. These future developments should invest 30% of that invested by major companies, which can generate an additional investment of approximately R$ 1 billion.

In total, 12 projects (52%) should be implemented in the Area of Campinas, and five (22%) in the Metropolitan Area of São Paulo. The other should be implemented at the Administrative Areas of Sorocaba (2), São José dos Campos (2) and Itapeva (2).
With regard to the value of the investments, the Area of Campinas will also receive the most: R$ 2.4 billion (77%) of the total. Then, there is the Administrative Area of São José dos Campos, with about R$ 400 million (13%), which will be invested by two different companies.

There is also the project of a company that has not yet decided where to install, but should select the city quite soon. R$ 11 million will be invested, creating about 150 jobs in the auto parts sector.

With regard to jobs, São Paulo is the area that most stands out. There will be about 3800 jobs (47%) created by new enterprises, and more than 2600 (31%) in Campinas.

"These projections are based on Investe SP's project portfolio. We currently have 81 projects that should generate an investment of $ 15.5 billion and create 21,000 direct jobs. Each project has its time to value and we must continue working to win such a tough competition and announce them all", said Quirós.
