Investe SP receives delegation from Taiwan

The meeting took place at Agência Paulista and reinforced the desire of Taiwanese representatives to expand relations and business of their country

On Friday, March 21, the director of the International and Institutional Relations of Investe SP, Sérgio Costa, and the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation, Nelson Breda, received the vice-president of Taitra headquarters, Taiwan's foreign relations and development agency, Gee San, and also the director of Taipei's economic and cultural division, Ricardo Hsu.

During the meeting, the director of Investe SP showed some data of the state of São Paulo and spoke about legal, tax and labor policies, emphasizing data collection conducted by the Legal Guide for Foreign Investors in Brazil as an important reference tool for Taiwanese companies.

The Taiwan delegation, which remains in Brazil for a series of meetings with federal and state agencies, and to learn about opportunities in the Brazilian market, praised the investments in education and technology made by the State government to develop the interior of São Paulo and also stressed that the data disclosing work developed by Investe SP will help the Asian government disseminate the potential of the state to Taiwanese companies wishing to invest internationally.

For the director of Taipei's economic and cultural division, Ricardo Hsu, the benefits of this meeting also extend to Brazilian companies interested in operating in foreign markets. "We want to show the importance of Taiwan to the world and how Brazilian entrepreneurs can use the country as a gateway to the Asian market", he said.

The delegation invited Investe São Paulo to undertake a mission to the country in order to support the dissemination of services provided by Agência Paulista to eastern businessmen. The director said he would be entirely available for any further clarification.
