Investe SP and Austrian Business Agency enter into a Memorandum of Understanding
The document aims to drive the attraction of Austrian investments to the State of São Paulo and the inclusion of companies from São Paulo in the Austrian market

On December 10, Investe São Paulo and the Austrian Business Agency, the investment promotion agency of the Austrian government, entered into a memorandum of understanding aiming at the cooperation of both institutions in the intensification of the economic relations between São Paulo and Austria.
The document was signed at the headquarters of Investe SP. The memorandum includes welcoming Austrian delegations, the participation of Investe São Paulo in events organized by ABA and the possibility of a mission of Investe SP to Austria. On the other hand, Investe SP is committed to recommend the services of the Austrian Agency to Brazilian entrepreneurs who are interested in investing in the European partner country.
“It’s great to formalize a partnership that has been consolidated for years, since we have several Austrian companies being assisted by our project team. This year, for example, we witnessed the start of operations of SAG, which invested R$ 17 million in Jaguariúna,” said the president of Investe São Paulo, Luciano Almeida.
The executive introduced the free services offered by the agency to investors, highlighting the state’s potential and the positive projection of São Paulo in relation to the rest of the country. He also introduced the website Find a Business Partner, which allows companies of any size and sector find partners for technology transfer, distributors, partners and business representatives for investments in São Paulo.
The Deputy Managing Director of the Austrian Business Agency, Wilfried Gunka, highlighted the importance of the accessibility of Investe SP to international entities. The director also congratulated Investe São Paulo for the 92 projects announced since its establishment, and for the 3rd Investe São Paulo Award, held on December 3. During the event, SAG was one of the companies honored for its investment in Jaguariúna.
About the Austrian Business Agency
The Austrian Business Agency (ABA) is the national investment promotion agency of Austria. The company offers free advice to companies wishing to settle in the country, helping them find the best location for their implementation and providing the information required for the progress of their projects. In 2013, ABA assisted 228 companies, which corresponds to a total investment volume of 347.8 million euros.
