Memorandum was executed on November 6, at Palácio dos Bandeirantes

The director of Investe São Paulo, Sérgio Costa, represented the agency during the execution of the Memorandum of Understanding for the World Economic Forum on Latin America (WEF), in São Paulo. The institution will participate in the working group created to coordinate, support and organize the preparations for the event.

The WEF will take place on March 13, 14 and 15, 2018, in the state capital, and will address, among other subjects, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which provided a basis for the meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The memorandum signed by the authorities present at a ceremony held at Palácio dos Bandeirantes formalizes the responsibilities of each of the parties involved, including representatives of the municipal, state and federal governments.

The meeting in São Paulo will act as platform to address three thematic pillars: ‘Fostering Responsible Leadership and Agile Governance’, ‘Ensuring Economic Progress for All’ and ‘Harnessing the Potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.’

The program will feature over 50 sessions so that Heads of State can address strategic issues. Issues of national and regional significance will be discussed with the presentation of possible solutions. The meetings will also focus on finding out and shaping a path to long-term changes.

The World Economic Forum on Latin America is an international organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, established in 1971 by Klaus Schwab, its current president. The Forum is responsible for organizing annual meetings in the Swiss city of Davos, with the participation and collaboration of the world’s leading political and business leaders.
